COMMUNITY LIFESAVERS KNOX (forthcoming)

CPR, FIRST AID & EMERGENCY READINESS

Aquaholics supports community safety because safe, confident volunteers and families are essential to inclusive outdoor & marine conservation participation.

Our homebase is in the Knox LGA, and many of our members live in the area.  As an organisation Aquaholics members are almost all First Aid trained.  However, that is not the norm, and we feel strongly that the more people who are trained and confident to respond in an emergency, the better for everyone!

Community Lifesavers Knox is intended to be a community safety and emergency preparedness initiative.  Safe conservation work depends on capable volunteers, prepared families & communities who can respond when incidents occur.

The project will provide free and low-cost CPR, first aid and emergency-response education for Knox residents.

By removing cost barriers and delivering training locally, the project helps more people gain the confidence and practical skills to respond effectively in an emergency.

This project is currently unfunded, though grant applications have been submitted. We welcome recommendations or expressions of interest for funding to help get it up and running!

Partnerships for the project will include:

Active First Aid Training, who will deliver the training through their network of First Aid instructors & trainers (many of whom are also Aquaholics members)

Designed for:
