Aquatic Adventures

Aquatic Adventures is a longstanding operational & training partner of Aquaholics, providing practical assistance, industry knowledge, training pathways, equipment access, logistics, and community connections that help turn conservation ideas into on-ground and in-water action. As a long-established Melbourne dive centre, Aquatic Adventures helps Aquaholics connect divers and snorkellers with meaningful opportunities to contribute to marine conservation, citizen science, education, and safer participation in Victoria’s underwater environments.

Our Relationship with Aquatic Adventures:
Aquaholics Club Inc. and Aquatic Adventures are separate organisations. Aquaholics is an independently governed incorporated not-for-profit, while Aquatic Adventures is a commercial dive centre and longstanding project and training partner.
Aquatic Adventures may support Aquaholics activities through professional dive services, training, equipment access, logistics and other specialist assistance. Governance, funding decisions, project priorities and organisational decisions remain the responsibility of Aquaholics and its Committee.
Where a relationship between Aquaholics and a partner creates an actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest, it is declared and managed through Aquaholics’ governance processes.
Restoration & Conservation Partners
The Nature Conservancy Australia
Project(s) Supported: Sea-Grow
The Nature Conservancy is a formal project partner of Aquaholics through Project Sea-Grow, providing advisory support, site-based collaboration, and guidance as we assist their work to reseed and restore kelp habitat. Their expertise in marine restoration helps ensure Aquaholics’ volunteer efforts are targeted, practical, and aligned with broader conservation outcomes for Victoria’s underwater ecosystems.

Data & Marine Debris Reporting Partners
Tangaroa Blue
Project(s) Supported: Sea-Clear
Tangaroa Blue is collaborating with Aquaholics through Project Sea-Clear, with Aquaholics using Tangaroa Blue’s established marine debris reporting framework to ensure our underwater clean-up data is consistent, useful, and able to contribute to broader national datasets. Tangaroa Blue has also expressed a strong interest in expanding its work with Aquaholics by supporting our team to take a greater role in underwater activities, with future funding and project delivery arrangements to be confirmed through a finalised agreement.

Victorian Department of Energy, Environment & Climate Action (DEECA) - Port Phillip Bay Fund
Project(s) Supported: Sea-Sweep
Project Sea-Sweep has received support through the Port Phillip Bay Fund, a Victorian Government grants program that assists community groups, not-for-profit organisations, schools, research institutes, councils and Traditional Owner groups to protect and enhance the Bay’s natural environment. This funding helps Aquaholics deliver practical invasive species response, volunteer participation and marine conservation outcomes in Port Phillip Bay.

Training & Community Safety Partners
Active First Aid Training
Project(s) Supported: Community Lifesavers Knox
Active First Aid Training is supporting Aquaholics in the development of Community Lifesavers Knox, a proposed community safety initiative designed to increase local access to practical CPR, first aid, and emergency response training. Their professional training expertise will help ensure the program is delivered safely, clearly, and in line with recognised first aid standards, giving Aquaholics the capacity to help more community members feel confident responding in an emergency once the project is funded and launched.
