About the event

Join Aquaholics at Frankston Pier for a hands-on Sea-Sweep marine pest survey and removal event.

Frankston is one of our priority monitoring sites, and this event will combine targeted searching with practical removal of invasive marine species where appropriate. Information collected during the activity helps us track pest abundance, identify areas requiring further attention and measure the effect of repeated management efforts.

Divers and snorkellers will work through designated areas around the pier and surrounding habitat, recording relevant observations and removing targeted invasive species in accordance with Aquaholics procedures.

Participants can also contribute useful biodiversity observations encountered along the way, helping us build a broader record of the marine life using the site.
