About the event

Join Aquaholics at Mornington for a Sea-Sweep return survey, combining marine pest surveillance with broader biodiversity monitoring.

Returning to previously surveyed sites is an important part of Sea-Sweep. Repeat observations help us identify changes over time, see whether pest populations are increasing or decreasing and determine where future management effort should be focused.

Our teams will survey the local marine environment for invasive species while also recording suitable observations of native fish and other marine life.

Subject to final organiser dates, this event may also overlap with the Great Victorian Fish Count, allowing our fieldwork to contribute to a wider snapshot of Victoria’s marine biodiversity.

What to expect:

·    Repeat marine pest surveillance
