Aquaholics Club Inc. is a not-for-profit association focused on marine conservation activities, awareness and education.

 

Formerly the name was used by Aquatic Adventures as the informal name of their social diving club.

From 2018 to 2025, Aquatic Adventures dive store worked hard to actively integrate marine conservation into its operations, training, and community engagement. Through structured courses, citizen-science projects, and regular dive-based conservation initiatives, the organisation has contributed significantly to monitoring, protecting, and restoring Victoria’s marine ecosystems.

In 2025, the Aquaholics evolved and incorporated into a separate club, giving its members more agency to pick and choose the conservation activities they want to pursue.

Aquaholics was separated from Aquatic Adventures to create a more sustainable and focused structure for environmental and conservation initiatives.

By forming Aquaholics as a separate association, the conservation side can operate with its own governance, membership base, and funding model. Members now have a direct say in which environmental projects are pursued and how resources are allocated, ensuring that activities reflect the collective priorities of the community rather than relying solely on the business’ capacity to fund them.

 

This structure empowers individuals who are passionate about marine conservation to contribute ideas, participate in decision-making, and take ownership of outcomes. As a result, Aquaholics can pursue its mission more democratically and sustainably.
